[Sayo stares at her response, before he types in his own.]

i'll be waiting.

[Outside of the apartment building, Sayo is waiting patiently for Veronica. He's looking around, wondering which direction Veronica would come in.]

[His reply makes her hurry just a little bit more, gathering up the bag of things that she'd made (and in one case, bought) for him.

The moment she sees him, which isn't difficult with his blue hair, she immediately makes her way over.]

Hello, Sayo. Were you waiting long?

[He looks over and see Veronica coming over to him. He shakes his head at her question.]

No, it wasn't that long.

[He glance at the bag she's carrying, curiously, then back up at her. Is this what she was referring to earlier in her message?]

I am glad.

[She sees him glancing at the bag and smiles before holding it out to him.]

I brought you some things, I had hoped they would cheer you up.

[Inside he'll find a separate bag containing cookies (blueberry-lemon), a large bottle of knife-polish and soft chamois cloths which she'd heard were good for cleaning swords. Since she found baths relaxing, she's assuming that he would find the sword equivalent to be relaxing as well.

Hopefully he can either do some DIY polishing or he knows someone who can polish him.]

[He carefully accepts the bag and bring it closer to him. He opens it and looks down, before his eyes widen in surprise. He doesn't know what the smaller bag is (he'll check it later), but he can see the bottle of knife polish. He reaches in and can feel the chamois cloths with his hand, too.

He looks up at her and then down at the bag, seemingly at a lost for words.]

... Thank you.

You are welcome! I bought quite a few of the cloths though I did hear that they last for quite a while.

[She hopes that's okay...she'd thought that if there really were too many that he could share them.]

[He looks up and gives her a small smile.]

Yes... it's a lot, but... I can share them. [Can he?]

Yes, you can! That is what I was thinking, as well.

The other swords [She makes sure not to say 'brother'] can use them too, right?

That's right. Everyone else can use them.

[Although, for length reasons, most of them would need to use them longer than Sayo do.]

[protectthecastle]

I am glad to hear that.

[A pause, and then because she has to ask:]

How have you been, Sayo?

[reprizesal]

[He's quiet for a while, before he speaks.]

I'm... doing okay. I've been busy working and helping out everyone.

[Although, he should be more upset. But the fire element's effect still run strong in him, countering his negative emotions.]

[protectthecastle]

I see. [If he says that he's okay, that must be true, right?]

I am glad to hear that. I thought-

[She pauses again, wondering if it's something she should actually say.]

I worried that you were not. But I am glad to hear that you are doing okay.

[Sayo's quiet for a moment. There's the part where he thought he should be more upset, but he's not. But... it's nice to be cared about.]

... Yes. I'm sorry for making you worried, Veronica-san.

[protectthecastle]

You need not be sorry, Sayo. We are friends.

[And friends worried about each other, or at least that's what all her other friends have told her.]
