[William sighed as he looked at it. Sayo made it look so easy to jump over that. For once he was regretting not being athletically inclined. Gingerly he picked his way across it and almost made it safely across, save for a slip at the end that brought him crashing down to his knees.]
Curses!
[He's mumbling and forcing himself not to do something as undignified as swear. He quickly manages to rise to his knees.]
[William nodded. He honestly preferred running to fighting in this situation, since the one or two fights he had attempted were... unpleasant.]
Alright then.
[He muttered the incantation calling on spirits of flame. It felt different here to use the magic though, like he was drawing on something other than beings of nature.
He threw a fireball experimentally off to the left side. Rather further left of the creature, though it definitely noticed and twitched in that direction. William tried again, this time a little further away and it began to skitter a bit more quickly.]
Now would be a good time to do that running thing I believe.
[With a nod, Sayo quickly moves ahead. He did look back to see if William's coming behind him.
The centipede is skittering in the ceiling, seemingly confused when there's nothing else coming towards it. It looks down and see its two potential prey escaping.]
[Sayo's sword is out, watching out for any traps and running. Sometimes he skip a step via jumping over it. The centipede was briefly distracted, hissing (can centipedes even hiss like that?) and trying to lash out to them.]
[It was really hard dodging the centipede's long body and for once William wished that he'd actually tried to improve his athletic ability.
Before he could curse his fate too much though, the thing managed to strike William. Or rather, brush against him, because suddenly, everything around them went... grainy. That was the only way William could describe it.]
[How troublesome though. He had been avoiding the blasted game until now, but well, they probably could have made it through. And had glorious, glorious money.]
There is probably nothing for it but to just go home.
[The prize money would be almost good enough to make up for their troubles. Guess Sayo would have to treat himself with fruits later and feel better about it.]
Right. [An awkward pause, because how to talk and socialise?] Be careful when you return home, sir.
[If there's ViViD insanity, who knows what's next? More technology craziness?]
[Sayo also checked his CereVice for the time. Ah, it's that late? His brothers would be worried. He looks up at William and nods.]
Thank you... and to you as well.
[And since that's as good as it get, Sayo turns to leave. He did pause to look back at William, mostly to check on him, before he looks away and resume his return home.]

Alright... Are you okay?
[Since pain is real now, Sayo's more worried about the other (and probably human) person.]

But that is why it is best to proceed, carefully or-
[And there is a weird chittering sound right above them. William looks up and groans at the giant centipede thing.]
Fantastic...

Date: 2015-07-03 03:41 pm (UTC)...Do we need to defeat it? Or we should go ahead faster?
[If this is a THOU SHALT NOT PASS boss... Well, Sayo got some frustration he wants to vent.]

Killing them gives clues that make the dungeon easier to solve.

...Can you fight? [Sayo want to know what their odds look like.]

I am assuming that you are not a normal boy, so I will leave running or fighting to your discretion.

Date: 2015-07-11 02:10 pm (UTC)If you can't aim, it's better if we try to sneak past it.
[If William can aim well, it can work as a distraction. But since he can't, Sayo doesn't want to get accidentally hit by fireballs.
He looks up at the Centipede. Hm... Distractions...]
You can try throwing some fireballs at it and we run while it's distracted.

up for glitching their way outside?

W-what the hell?
Re: Sure!
Date: 2015-07-25 11:37 am (UTC)I don't know, but keep going!
[Sayo starts to run, but the world around them seems to be glitching harder. Distorting the environment and things are clipping into each other.
And the world around them seems to be changing, until they're suddenly in the middle of a street.]
...Eh?
Re: Sure!
Date: 2015-07-26 02:23 am (UTC)Did we some how stumble outside?
[He frowned.]
That was a lot of effort for nothing.
Re: Sure!
Date: 2015-07-30 03:09 pm (UTC)I think we did...
[All that effort, for nothing? He almost want to stab someone for it. (No, not William).]
...At least we're outside.
